Orang-Utan Finished.

Arches smooth surface.  approx 22 " x 30"  It is a full sheet.

I am calling this finished.  (for the moment).  I will look at it in a few days time and decide if this needs the touch of color or not. I feel what is in his mouth is not a good shape to be green. I may change the shape or just leave it as is and say it's coconut slices as it seems that coconut is a food they eat.
Thank you Rod for allowing me to use one of your amazing photographs.

Fabulous piece, Dors.
You have caught the sensitivity of the orang so well!

GORGEOUS! It's such a terrible situation for orangs right now, they need support and love, such care in this picture, Jules

This piece really tugs at my heartsrtings esp with those eyes innocently looking at us. It is very sad the situation these big apes face today at the hands of the so called superior form. Very well renderded and I admire your willingness to tackle such a large piece Doreen! Bavo!

WOW!!! I love your picture. You really out did yourself on this one. I totally love the white coconut in his mouth. I was never very keen on the green thing you were talking about but I was keeping an open mind. Now that I see it white, I would leave it that way.

Thank you Colette. Yes it is sad and heartbreaking. I will keep drawing them as I love them so much as I do wildlife. Glad you like it.

Karen & Joan..Thank you so much for your very kind comments.

Wendy. Thank you so much. I kept pulling away from the green as it just didn't seem to fit. I will leave it white. This being such a large drawing it seems right to just have it graphite only.
