Fantastic attention to detail Dors. Your mastery of tonal value gives great depth and i love the way you have done the lizard's scales.

This turned out great, Dors! I shudder at the patience it took to complete this even on drafting film!

Excellent detail on this drawing! Very nice work, Dors! Have not worked with drafting film, but it seems to be quite fun, and the results are really great. Did it go faster for you than working on paper?

Hi Christine. Thank you for your kind comment. WOW yes I went a lot faster than on paper.
I really enjoy working on the drafting film.

Love the detail and the way you've left the top of the canvas empty. Great composition!

Great job Dors. I am sure you will love that new dog. We have a miniature poodle and he runs our house.

LOL Wendy. It's nice to have a loving dog to run the house.

Thankyou so much for your kind comment.

Lovely detailed work Dors - although it doesn't take many layers, drafting film really makes colours 'ping' doesn't it?
Did you use a black backing sheet here?

Unknown said...

Thank you Sue. I used a white backing sheet. would it have been better with a black ?

I loved working on the drafting film.

Welcome home.

WOW Dors - I totally love this - amazing detail and perfect subject. I'm so happy you are enjoying working on the drafting film - I'm sure if more artists tried it, they would realise what a wonderful surface it is.
