The Blue Tongue Lizard was roaming in our garden last week. Isn't he just the cutest. I never realized just how blue their tongue is.
I have a lot more work to do on this. I am replacing the old plant pop with a tree trunk. and have a nice face on photo of the lizard and maybe I will add the face on coming down the tree... I will have to see as it may look overcrowded. I will decide when I have done more on this.

Fantastic work Dors. This will be another stunning drawing. The film support is definitely different to work on.
Great start Dors, we sure don't have anything as colorful as that here. It sure is a pretty blue.

Wendy... Oh I was so surprised to see how blue the tongue is...an the lovely creamy yellow skin. so colorful. We also saw one in the shopping mall last week. Nev picked it up and took it to a nice grassy area with trees. I am sure he would have been better there than in the shipping mall. LOL
Vic This is the first time I have used drafting film... Oh you should try it. The pencils just slide on it. and it's good for erasing.

Dors, I'm glad you finally tried the drafting film. I was anticipating to see your lizard piece and it is coming along great. Your lizard is actually from a family called skinks and is called a blue tongue skink. Cool you have them running free in your yard as they make awesome pets when tame.

Thank you for the info. I thought the skinks were the tiny black/brown ones but apparently these blue tongue one are the largest skink in the lizard family. Interesting. we learn something everyday.

Deb...Than you Deb for your kid comment. This is the first reptile I have drawn and I am really enjoying it.
I wouldn't think the film would be any different from regular paper since most brands of drafting film are archival. I've heard it's the combination of support/medium as to whether a painting lasts or not - if both are archival/lightfast, there shouldn't be any problem.
