Possums dinner time.

This is the first time they have allowed me to hand feed them with Banana chips.  They love them.as well as carrot, pumpkin and grapes.  It's taken some time and patience, so worth the wait.
They are gorgeous.

Hi Sherry. We just cannot believe all the wildlife on 1/2 acre that is ours.. in suburbia. well we do have a little bush at the back of us but the amount of homes being built sadly the wildlife will go... hope they have somewhere else to go. They can all come and live with us. ;)

How very sweet. He has come to trust you, that is amazing in itself. You've made that little guys day by feeding him those goodies. I am glad you've shared this picture!

Thanks Christine. He really is gorgeous and there are two of them. The other one is more shy. one is male and the other female.

Expect we will have some baby possums around one day.

How fun! We have really ugly possums around here & they can sometimes be vicious. You're very fortunate in gaining the trust of this one and very fortunate to get such a great photo of it! Or is it that you were fortunate to have such a great photographer on hand to get the great photo?! Good job, Nev!

Nev is very happy with your comment Jan. ;) Yes I did have him on hand to take the photo. I will now have get the door widened hehehe.

We have two little possums and they are so sweet and so terribly shy. but they are coming around slowly. xx

First time I've ever heard a 'possum described as "gorgeous"! LOL! Your possums must be better looking than ours ;-)

He is kind of cute. When we were in New Zealand we heard lots about the possums but we only saw them in the zoos. Our possums here are hairless and not as good looking as yours. I agree with Joan, it won't be long before it is a subject for your work.

Thank you Teresa. He is kind of gorgeous. Our possums are cute. I must look out for your when over in the US later this year.

Thank you Joan. I will draw a possum again. Especially as they are getting more friendly. Just waiting for that one special photo. :)
