Finished Cat WIP. (Sheraz)

Arches 300gsm smooth paper.  10 x 10"

I was not really happy with the fore leg that is tucked under her body.  I feel it is looking better now.
Also Jan pointed  the same thing out to me. Thank you Jan for your critique.

I totally agree it looks better Dors. I didn't like to say anything in case she actually was missing a paw (which sometimes happens), but it looks more finished now and less like she is an amputee. Beautiful work!!! :)

I missed yesterday's post but have just looked at it now. I agree that the amendment you made looks 'right'.

Beautiful drawing Dors - one contented cat and a happy owner no doubt!

I have to admit it does look better, Doreen. Still a gorgeous piece no matter which way you cut it though.

I like the leg better too. I love how you've accomplished the look of the feline's shiny black fur!

I have to admit, never noticed the leg. I was so intrigued by her beautiful black fur. Once again, another job well done in bringing your subject to life.

You captured the black shiny fur beautifully Dors! I agree on the paw too, now that I see your previous post. It can be difficult as black animals don't always photograph well and one often end up with less than optimal reference. Fantastic job!

Thank you so much for your encouraging words
Glad I got the leg looking right. It is hard with black cats but a good challenge for men.
