The big days is getting near. All my Art materials are packed. Sorry I will have nothing to show for a couple of weeks.
We will have the keys to our home on Tuesday. All the last minute installations will be done during next week. Oven, Hotplates and dishwasher will be installed. The tiles laid, Carpet laid. Driveway concreted.
Here is an oil painting that I did back in the 90's which I donated to the Motor Neurone Disease Association for Auction.

Dors,
This is a beautiful painting. You are a very talented lady. All the best to you on the move into your new home. How exciting for you.
Didn't realise you used oils Dors ... beautiful painting and a worthy cause.
Wishing you a smooth transfer into your new home and very many happy years there.
Thank you Joan and Sue.
Sue...My late husband died in 1997 of Motor Neurone Disease.
All the best with the move Dors. How sad to hear about your late husband - life really does throw some difficult challenges our way. Your painting is so beautiful - I don't think I've seen a painting of yours before :)
Thank you Karen. My first work was oils. Then I turned to watercolor and then pencil work.
I am very tempted to go back to oils and watercolor for a change.
Yes we get thrown challenges in life. Hard to deal with after 36 yrs married but we get through those challenges. Thank you :)
Gorgeous roses and the color is just dreamy, Dors. I so wish you and your husband many blessings as you begin life in a new home. How exciting!!!
Thank you Sherry. Glad you like the roses.
Gorgeous, gorgeous, gorgeous! This just glows.
I'm sure you're anxious and excited about your move. It won't be long now and we can't wait for the grand tour and more of your art!
Thank you Jan... The grand tour is coming soon. and I am looking forward to getting back to my art as always.
Hugs
Beautiful work! It's actually like going back in time for me because I remeber having very (!) similar flower vase and I always (ALWAYS!) had some pink and white roses in it, cut from a rose plant climbing up my window.. I loved having them on my desk- and- wow- your painting looks exactly the same! Gorgeous..
Thank you so much Natalia. It's always nice to think back to things we love.
That must have been a very difficult time Dors, so your beautiful painting is doubly poignant!
This is going to be a very exciting week for you I think ;-)
This is a beautiful paining and such a great way to share your talent.
Take it slow with the move, I know that you are an overachiever and I don't want to read that your back went out because you carried too much.
I am so excited for your move and getting to enjoy your new house in a very short time.
The painting is absolutely gorgeous! Love the soft edges and colors.
Re: August 25.... woo hoo... exciting!!!! I'm so happy for you.
Lovely still life Dors! And good luck with your move. Not long till you can have that puppy now! My husband and i are hoping to move soon also to somewhere close to the water and our boat. We have to get our house ready for sale first though. Have a great week and I look forward to seeing your art again once you have settled in.
You must be getting very excited, it is so much fun moving into a new place and you have been planning this for some time. Good luck with the move.
Wonderful piece Dors! I think it's fun to switch it up and play in different media too. I used to be all about graphite, and then it was watercolor for awhile, then oils. Now it's acrylic and CP...so many media, so little time!
Thank you all so much.
It's a busy time and all so exciting.
It will be nice to get into the house now and get my art room set up.
Only 6 more sleeps. LOL.
All is going good here.
I will try to keep up with you all and what your doing over the next week.
Hugssssssssssss
Hi Dors,
You are equally talented with oils! Lovely flowers. All the best as you move into your new home.
Good luck with the move Dors. I went through that this summer. Hard to get back in the swing of things.
Very nice Dors, you must be getting really excited about the move now. It is the 23rd ...2 more days to go. I hope everything goes smoothly for you :)
