Quokka Finished

I think I am calling this done. I will leave it for a couple of days and look see if it needs tweeking at all.

This is done on Arches 300gsm watercolor paper . The size is 24 x 21cm . Graphite with a touch of Prismacolor.

Love your Quokka Dors .... I'd never heard of this creature so have just Googled it and learned something new! I'd assumed it would be mouse sized but apparently it is the size of a domestic cat?

Anyway, as usual this is beautifully drawn and the eyes are truly amazing

Dors, this is stunning. That pop of color in the piece of fruit just totally caps a beautiful painting! It is hard for me to not keep repeating Qokka Qokka Qokka over and over to myself. This piece is museum worthy, really.

What a sweet piece Dors! Have you ever gone to Barbara Freeman's blog? She does some amazing work in silverpoint, and she too puts just a dab of color here and there. I think you'd like her work.
