New project coming up.

I am ready to start another little sweetie (Possum). I think you will fall in love with this one.
We fed him both nights when we stayed at the farm cottage nr the Jenolan Caves (Blue Mountains. NSW). He ate well, Ham, Rump Steak, Grapes. LOL. He posed well for us before we left, we got some nice photos.
Also while we were there. I almost stood on what I thought was an old dead snake...Hmmmmm Nev came along to see what I was studying...He said that is no dead snake. he is alive and well. He was a Highland Copperhead snake. (deadly) LOL
Here is a photo of the snake and the Possum.

Graphite with a touch of Prisma CP on 220gm Canson 23 x 25 cm

I thought I would show the photos taken at different times of the day.. left is night(artificial light) right is morning (daylight) The likeness to my drawing is more like the one on the left.
I did another drawing the same as this a while back which I gifted to Maria... I thought I would also have one to hang along side the Meerkat.. I may even keep going and have animals all along one wall.

Acorn Doll

drawn in CP Prismacolor and Polychromos.
I did this for a challenge on http://debcompany.ning.com/
We can draw whatever we like from a photo... being our own interpretation of it.  and show our drawing/painting along with the original photo.   It was fun.   This is an ornament of mine that my sister gave me from the UK.

Update on Roses.  I think it's starting to work with the dark background.

Roses (WIP)

This is a CP painting.  I have used both F-C CP and Prisma CP.   It's A3 size..not showing the full size with scanning.  The paper is Canson 220 gsm  paper
This is not really at a good stage, but I thought I would start it as a WIP.  So far I am not happy with the very dark background but will see how it progresses.

I have been busy doing a challenge for http://pencil-painting.ning.com/ It's an interesting challenge in Color Pencil.  I used a mixture of pencils because I don't yet have all the colors in the Prisma CP I used both Prisma and Polychromos.
It's good to have a love of many subjects. still life, portraits, I don't have a great love of landscapes but maybe one day I will try.

English Cottage

Thatched Cottage
Graphite Drawing.
I drew this from a photo we took while on holiday in Devon.
The Bishop’s House, Lower Street Chagford. Devon.
With its thatched roof, mullioned windows and added two-storey porch,
this is the most striking and best-preserved example of the earliest houses
surviving in the town dating from the early 16th century
