Baby Meerkat

This is one of two baby Meerkats born recently at the Taronga Zoo in Sydney.

Baby Meerkat .... Graphite on 23cm x 25cm on Canson 220gm paper, using Staedtler 2B and 2H pencils.

I love this little guy. You did a great job with him. I also really like your schnauzers. I had a salt and pepper one for 12 years and now have a new white one just over 5 months old.

Fantastic piece! You have covered the range of values, and delivered a cute and precious drawing. This would make a wonderful piece to do prints and greeting cards. So adorable!

Dors I just have to ask you. Is this just graphite and eraser or have you used white pastel for some of the highlights? I aspire to producing a graphite this beautiful how long did it take you?

Hi Sally. I did this in Staedtler graphite pencils. 2B and 2H and Blue Tac for the hairs. also a little help from the Stiff Stuff eraser pencil.
