Orangutan WIP 2

I have about 3 -4 hours work still to go on the Orangutan. Some darker tones and a little tweaking to be done and then I will call it done.

I got a bit carried away here and should have done my WIP #1 sooner. ah well I won't be able to do any more to it for a few days.

Post Office.. Wiseman's Ferry .... WIP 1

A bit of a challenge with all the lines and the tin roof. I am doing this on Arches smooth 300gm paper. 13 x 30 cm
I thought it was time to do another building. We stayed at Wiseman's Ferry Nr Sydney. We stayed at the resort for a night. We had a great time and took lots of photos.

Graphite with a touch of Prisma CP on 220gm Canson 23 x 25 cm

I thought I would show the photos taken at different times of the day.. left is night(artificial light) right is morning (daylight) The likeness to my drawing is more like the one on the left.

I did another drawing the same as this a while back which I gifted to Maria... I thought I would also have one to hang along side the Meerkat.. I may even keep going and have animals all along one wall.

Baby Meerkat

This is one of two baby Meerkats born recently at the Taronga Zoo in Sydney.

Baby Meerkat .... Graphite on 23cm x 25cm on Canson 220gm paper, using Staedtler 2B and 2H pencils.

The Lily pond was a great challenge ..Thank you Maria.

I did it 16 x 18 cm and wished I had done an ATC size. LOL. all those leaves.

Maria really excelled in this challenge and did a superb job.

Another challenge, this time Maria chose the subject. I must say was very challenging, but we do enjoy these challenges. It's all good practice.
