Lioness Finished.

Arches 300gsm Smooth Paper  43 x 35cm

I have finally finished the Lioness.   She feel like a friend with the time it has taken to complete this.  I did give you plenty of updates with her.   I am thinking maybe a male Lion next to keep this lady company.

I would like to thank.   Rod Haley ( Flickr).  Thank you very much Rod for your permission to use one of your superb photos.

Just lovely, Dors. I too like the tiny bit of green in the grass. I wondered if you were going to add that touch of color. It's hard to resist!

Thank you Jan and Joan.
Rod who took this photo has taken a photo of a male. Maybe I could ask his permission. I'll check it out.

Hugs to you both. :)

She is soft and wonderful. That bit of green is just the right touch.
I think drawing is somehow more intimate than painting, at least for me. With the drawings I've done, the subjects have become so close as though I know them in a very focused way. This probably doesn't make much sense but I totally understand how this lioness has become your friend.

Well, it's about time! (Just kidding) I don't know how you produce these amazing works so quickly...just breathtaking!

Hehe Deb. well you are so right. it has taken me more time that usual. Glad you like it.
Better pull my socks up on the next drawing.
As you know i have been side tracked with all the planning of the upcoming trip... look forward to seeing you. :)

Hi Shirley. I know what you mean and I do get a little attached to the subject... hence the Lioness is a real friend... Thanks for your comment.
