Lioness WIP #4

A little further on now. I have done quite a lot this afternoon but the light is not good now so I will post another update in the morning.   It's interesting as this seems to have all the shades of graphite in it.  I like that.

You are right, you do have a good value range coming on this piece. It is coming along well.

She's looking great. I love the way you showed your graphite tonal range. It's wonderful to see and to realize how all the tones bring your work to life. Dor's I am learning so much from you. Thank you.

Have a great weekend.

My goal is to one day have my WIP's all be as pretty as yours Dors. When I work, the pieces are a mess till the very end...Wonder if that says something about our personalities...hmmmmm.

Thank you Joan. The tone range strip is so useful in checking if I have the tone right.
When I get back into watercolor I know I will learn so much from you too. Hope your having a great weekend. xx

Hi Deb. Smiling at your comment and thank you for your compliment. Your work is amazing Deb. I don't know how you fit so much detail into such a small area.
Hope your having a great weekend. xx

Hi Dors,

Each step is beautiful. I like seeing the tonal chart. Just when I think there is nowhere to go, you add another tone. You are amazing!

:) Thank you Sue. I am trying to get the full tonal range into this drawing.

Your animals are very realistic and beautifully rendered. Your shading and tones are impressive.
