Arches 300gsm smooth paper. 45 x 35 cm |
A large drawing for a nice change. Just mapping out getting some base working. The size when finished will be 45 x 35 cm plus the border on Arches smooth 300 gsm paper.
The lioness ref photo comes courtesy of Rod Haley ( Flickr). Thank you very much Rod for the permission to use one of your superb photos.

She is superb, Dors!
It's going to be "grand", I'm sure!
You're on to my favorite big cats and I'll be watching this closely!
So nice to see the lioness back on the board. Can't wait to see the progression.

Thank you all so much, There is a lot of work in this piece being quite large. I will really enjoy getting into this .
Hi, I love your blog. You have wonderful pieces, so expressive! I am adding your link to my watercolor blog. We both show the steps of our work and I always stress to my students how important it is to be able to draw well in order to have good painting.
Coming along nicely, glad to see the lioness back :)
