Post Office.. Wiseman's Ferry .... WIP 1

A bit of a challenge with all the lines and the tin roof. I am doing this on Arches smooth 300gm paper. 13 x 30 cm
I thought it was time to do another building. We stayed at Wiseman's Ferry Nr Sydney. We stayed at the resort for a night. We had a great time and took lots of photos.

Graphite with a touch of Prisma CP on 220gm Canson 23 x 25 cm

I thought I would show the photos taken at different times of the day.. left is night(artificial light) right is morning (daylight) The likeness to my drawing is more like the one on the left.

I did another drawing the same as this a while back which I gifted to Maria... I thought I would also have one to hang along side the Meerkat.. I may even keep going and have animals all along one wall.

Baby Meerkat

This is one of two baby Meerkats born recently at the Taronga Zoo in Sydney.

The Lily pond was a great challenge ..Thank you Maria.

I did it 16 x 18 cm and wished I had done an ATC size. LOL. all those leaves.

Maria really excelled in this challenge and did a superb job.

Great Job Maria. Maria

Lily Pond

Another challenge, this time Maria chose the subject. I must say was very challenging, but we do enjoy these challenges. It's all good practice.

This is a fun challenge that I did with Maria. It's Graphite on Canson paper 220 gm and is 30 x 19cm. I thought this would make a good wall piece. Check out Maria's Toadstools and other beautiful art pieces. A very talented artist. Maria

Lizzie & Ellie WIP

Update on The beautiful Lizzie & Ellie.

Spaniel

I have to be truthfull ...I did find this a very difficult project. I am learning though and that is the important thing. Please feel free to critique as it will help me to learn more.

Acorn Doll

drawn in CP Prismacolor and Polychromos.

I did this for a challenge on http://debcompany.ning.com/

We can draw whatever we like from a photo... being our own interpretation of it.  and show our drawing/painting along with the original photo.   It was fun.   This is an ornament of mine that my sister gave me from the UK.

The finished Roses.

Almost finished now.  The next update will be the finished Roses.

It was hard deciding what the last rose color should be so it would balance.  Hope the peach has worked.
